This interactive game is designed for families or small groups of children (aged 5-10) and parents to engage with bee biology and pollination. The game will teach the concept of bee dances—specifically the waggle, round, and tremble dances—and allow children to mimic these dances to "pollinate" flowers in a fun and educational way.

Game Objectives

  • Learn about bee communication through dances (Waggle Dance, Round Dance, and Tremble Dance).
  • Learn about environmental and biodiversity concepts with scenarios that include habitat loss, pesticide threats, colony collapse, climate impacts, and species adaptation.
  • Engage in fun, physical activity to mimic the dance moves.
  • Encourage home/family learning experiences between children and parents while learning the importance of pollination.

How to play

  1. Card Selection:
    • The children or family members choose a card (Waggle, Round, or Tremble) by clicking on it.
    • The game will explain the dance in simple terms and encourage them to perform the dance physically.
  2. Challenge Phase:
    • After performing the dance, the player clicks the "Start the Bee Dance Challenge" button. This reveals the Challenge, which the player can complete.
  3. Reward Phase:
    • Completing the challenge gives the family a chance to earn nectar points.
